Cloud Atlas by David Mitchell - review:
'One of the most original creations of our century'
I had an opportunity to read this book before the release of the film and despite mixed reviews, I consider the literary version of David Mitchell's Cloud Atlas a masterpiece.
Despite its extremely complicated plot, the book itself remains extremely interesting and absorbing. The writing is really thought-provoking and after reading this you will definitely start thinking about your purpose in life.
After reading this novel, you can't fail to become attached to the characters from the different storylines, and of course you will try comparing them to one another, in order to find out who is who.
Cloud Atlas manages to successfully combine an emotional love story with a sense of humour in tragedy. Because of this, the plot appears to be even richer and more gripping.
This is definitely a book which you should not miss because it's one of the most original creations of our century.
